April 9, 2012---Catholic Action for Faith and Family announces a timely and insightful thirty minute interview with Cardinal Raymond Burke as he discusses critical matters of faith, religious liberty, and culpability in relation to the threatened government mandate for employers to provide free contraception, sterilization services, and abortion inducing drugs.   Catholic Action Insight, a special program series hosted by Catholic Action founder and president, Thomas McKenna, will air on EWTN on April 11 at 2:30pm and on April 13 at 9:00pm EST.

On February 15 the Auxiliary of the Pregnancy Help Center of the San Gabriel Valley held its 27th “Anniversary Luncheon” at the Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre, California. St. Gianna Physician’s Guild president, Thomas McKenna, was the keynote speaker.

Mr. McKenna shared the story of this heroic wife, mother and physician who was the last saint canonized by Blessed Pope John Paul II on May 16, 2004. He told stories and showed a variety of actual photographs of the saint taken in life. “Saint Gianna lived her entire life in the light of Faith and this is what I always strive to convey to the public,” McKenna said. “Her life and example can serve as a model of sanctity for faithful today when sometimes the ability to practice heroic virtue seems almost impossible,” he continued.

On Wednesday, April 21^st St. Gianna Physician’s Guild President, Thomas McKenna, appeared on the Eternal Word Television Network’s “Live” program with Fr. Mitch Pacwa to discuss “Catholic Doctors in the House.” The show focused on the goals and activities of the Guild as well as the virtuous life of their patron, St. Gianna Beretta Molla.
